(i) Some of the above lines, e.g. the Portishead branch,
remain open for goods traffic (Aug. 1972). Others continued to carry goods
for a few years after closure to passengers.
(ii) In addition to the above, certain intermediate
stations (e.g. Bleadon & Uphill) have been closed on lines which remain
open to through passenger traffic.
