2/1

DULVERTON CHANGES / TOURISM / INCOMERS / DULVERTON VIDEO / READING LESSON

[aside to BJ about how much longer, as her voice is getting tired]

Dulverton was so quiet when they came. They had the cinema, which was very loud. Things were rationed when they first came. It's a busy place now. She thinks the tourists have been wonderful to Dulverton. She thinks the incomers have done good things for Dulverton. [refers to video recently made for TV, in which she appeared]

She now goes to Church of England church. She still goes now and reads the lesson. Has difficulty getting there now. It gives her an incentive. She reads it from her pew, without amplification. [Back to top]

2/2

DRESSING SMARTLY / MAKE-UP / PARTING WITH DOG / SHOPPING

She likes to be smartly dressed. Even now she gets compliments. She likes clothes. She has always used make-up. She used to make up before taking her dog out for a walk at 7am [talks about having a dog, looking after it becoming difficult, so finding a home for him]. She missed her dog, Tuppy, like hell. Roger says she cried more over him than she did Dad. [asks BJ about her dog]

She does her own shopping. Mary goes to big out of town place and gets her things. She gets practically everything she needs in Dulverton. She doesn't want much because they have a very nice meal at Hanover Court.
